The Central Library, IIT Delhi offers a platform, i.e., Take a Book / Give a Book, to promote reading among users of the institute and enable reuse of books, including textbooks. We invite users, who would like to share their personal copies of books after finishing their reading, may leave their books on the dedicated Bookshelf located on the 1st floor of the Central Library (near the entrance gate). Similarly, feel free to Take a book, left by another user.
Guidelines
- We encourage users to share gently used books and reading materials (spiral notes) that they are willing to donate. Please ensure each book is in good condition, free from torn pages, missing pages, no bookworms, excessive markings, or damage.
- You are welcome to share books from any genre – fiction, non-fiction, textbooks, and more. Loose binding books, handwritten reading materials, reading notes, including papers should not be shared.
- Please enter the details of books (Take/Give) in the register kept.
